The Education on Queer Issues Project (EQuIP) is a student-run LGBTQ organization under the Social Issues Commission at Queen’s University. Its purpose is to create a safe environment for individuals on Queen’s campus and in Kingston of all sexual orientations and gender identities. EQuIP strives to create a fun, welcoming, and educational community for queer and queer-positive individuals while advocating for human rights and raising awareness about queer-related issues. Everybody is welcome! You do not have to be a Queen’s student, or even a student at all, to become involved with EQuIP. If you are interested in volunteering or applying to be a committee member, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise, everyone is welcome at all of our meetings and events (with no sign-up necessary)!
EQuIP runs a drop-in weekly meeting during the fall/winter terms of the school year. (Meetings will not take place during Winter Break and Queen’s Reading Week.)
